As hunting season approaches, many of you are getting out your crossbow for the first time this year.  Like any piece of hunting equipment, maintenance is important to your crossbow.  Be sure to tighten all screws, nuts, and bolts before shooting.  Apply lubricating oil to all moving parts that need it.  Rust preventative is also a good idea.

Wax your string and check it for excessive wear.  Most crossbow manufacturers recommend changing your string every two or three years.  Not sure if your string needs to be replaced?  We can inspect your crossbow and let you know.  For longer string life, apply rail lubricant to the flight rail and take a look at your arrows.  Make sure there are no cracks in the carbon fiber and the nocks are in good shape.  Just a few easy steps can ensure that your season is off to a great start.

If you have any questions, feel free to stop by the shop.  We’ll be happy to help get your crossbow shooting it’s best.
