After three years of hard work and dedication, T&T fly rods is thrilled to present their much-awaited Contact II fly rod series. This second generation of the Contact series is crafted with five types of premium carbon and fiberglass fibers, bound together with our unique aerospace resin system. We angled these fibers in strategic spots during rolling to improve precision, sensitivity, and strength. The components used to create this series were also chosen with utmost care to guarantee maximum efficiency and comfort. Additionally, the Low Rider style stripping guide was moved to the butt section of each rod in this series, decreasing the line sag between your hands and the first guide. Thomas and Thomas optimized the guide spacing with lowered stripping guides for reduced line sag, and upped the backbone power for better hook sets and improved landings. Plus, Thomas & Thomas' extra-dense, premium-grade Flor cork grips add feel and bite transmission. They've also included black RECoil single foot snake guides, a hook keeper and winding check, a "Low Rider"-style stripping guide for a tighter line to the blank for better strike transmission and accuracy, as well as a low-profile rounded fighting butt that offers balance and comfort. To complete the package, Thomas and Thomas wrapped it in a subtle brown and olive thread. For an additional charge of $25 the Contact fly rod is offered with an uplocking reel seat option too!
