The Garneau Mudstones shoes are good for both mud and rocks. They have a flat outsole that is great for riding and walking on the trails, and they have a recessed insert that works with all types of SPD cleats. Great for mountain biking, fat biking, and any situation where there is water and cold. The Mudstone Shoes have a high volume fit last and an extra-insulated toe box, so you can wear thick socks without having to go up a size. They are completely waterproof because they are made of three layers of synthetic leather and a neoprene-sealed cuff. The BOA IP1 dial is easy to change even when wearing gloves, and the Ergo Grip II outsole gives great grip when walking in the rain.

How to find your shoe size

Step 1

Place your heel along a wall and place an object (wooden block, dictionary, etc.) against your longest toe.

Step 2

Measure the distance between the wall and the object. Measure both feet. The longest measure is the size to use.

The Garneau Standard Fit is C. If your foot is larger than standard (D fit and over), we recommend choosing a half-size larger than the size suggested on the chart.

If you are purchasing shoes to wear mainly in fall/winter with thicker socks, we recommend measuring your feet with the socks you’ll be wearing with the shoes.

    HOW TO MEASURE

    For the most accurate results, take measurements over your underwear or close-fitting apparel. Take the measurement twice to ensure accuracy. Use a flexible tape measure.

    1Chest: Relax arms at your side. Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
    2Waist: Bend to one side to find the natural crease of your waist. Then, stand straight and measure around your waist at this point. Keep the tape measure a bit loose.
    3Hip: Stand with your feet together. Measure around the fullest part of your hips, at the top of your legs.
    4Inseam: Wearing pants that fit tight, measure the crotch seam to the floor.
